Missional Living
In the final week of our building blocks series, Pastor Kevin shared what it looks like to live missionally. When we think of the idea of evangelism, we freeze up. Missional living flips this on its head by making evangelism a lifestyle and not an event. It begins by having a vibrant spiritual life built upon the good news of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection. Truly understanding Jesus’ offer of salvation is the spark by which our lives are set aflame. From a place of fullness, it becomes easier to yield our lives to the leading of the Spirit. Making ourselves available is 90% of the battle. The other 10% is identifying ways to speak spiritual truth through pathways and artifacts. Pathways are expressed needs, emotions, or desires that act as on-ramps to spiritual conversations. Artifacts are cultural phenomena like art, media, movements, or anything else that is commonly discussed that can be used to express spiritual truth.
